Check if you have the necessary Gaokao or Liankao admission scores

Gaokao (Chinese National Higher Education Entrance Examination) and Liankao (Joint Entrance Examination of Ordinary Universities in China for Overseas Chinese, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Students): how to use them to apply to the University of Coimbra (UC)?

UC accepts applications from Chinese students with the Senior Secondary School Graduation diploma who have done these exams in June 2024 or in the 5 previous years: 2023, 2022,2021, 2020, and 2019.

Minimum Gaokao or Liankao score for application

To be able to apply students must have at least a score of 50% of the full score of their provincial Gaokao scale in the case of Mainland China or of their Liankao in the case of a Special Administrative Region of China. This is equivalent to 100 in the Portuguese 0-200 scale. Please note that this is the minimum score required for application, except in the case of the Integrated Masters in Dentistry (140).

The selection process will occur later and will be based on the ranking of the scores, converted to the Portuguese scale, of all international student submitted applications.

The following tables show you the minimum required scores for application:
